Who makes the scopes on Savage package rifles?

Does anyone here know which manufacturer makes the 4x32 scopes packaged with Savage rifles?

i believe Savage uses Pentax on their predator rifles and Simmons on their rimfires.

Having handled a few at Dick's, I always thought they looked like Simmons

I've only seen Simmons scopes on Savage center fires. I don't know about their rimfires.

The 3-9x40s I've seen have all been Simmons. I'm not certain on the 4x32s, but I seen to recall them being Simmons as well.

Is the Simmons 3-9x40 Scope that Savage is Putting on the Model 93R17 any good?

The one that I just replaced on my 300 was a Simmons.

Mine was a Simmons.

wrs840, if it's the same one they use on the centerfire Simmons, it'll probably be ok on a rimfire, but it's a cheap scope, and the optical quality reflects that. I've had trouble with them on centerfires.
