Optics aren’t for the rifle. Optics are for the shooter to help them accomplish their goals within their desired application. Shooting big targets at short ranges will benefit from a different sighting system than shooting small targets or long ranges.
For really close, big target shooting, like hunting deer at 50-75yrds max, I really like the Turnbull mount with a red dot. For anything smaller or farther, I want a magnified optic. Scout scope options which fit the 92 are relatively limited, pretty typically 2-7x, and that’s fine for relatively short shooting, which I assume is what you’re doing if a 92 carbine in 357mag is an appropriate solution for the application.
