Anybody out there that has had some inhibition regarding mounting a scope on a '94 AE Winchester. This is what has worked the best for me. This one is mounted on a '94 Win BB .444 BlackShadow, it has a 1.75X4-32 Bushnell Dawn&Dusk scope w/6" of eye relief. The scope is mounted on Weaver 403 & 95 mounts, utilizing Burris Medium Zee Rings (Steel, because of being a 444, anything with over 3000 ft.lbs, I use steel. Medium height to accomodate up to 42mm scopes plus extra shell clearance). As you can see by the pictures, the scope has been mounted 90 degrees counter clockwise from standard. This not only gives added shell ejection clearance, but keeps you from bumping the windage adjustment when single loading for target practice. It does not change the function of the adjustments, except the windage is now the elevation and the elevation is now the windage. Of course, I only use circle or cross hair type rectiles.
