Tikka T3 lite .308

If I get a 50mm scope, what size base/rings do I need? Low medium high?

Should I get a 1 piece base? Big advantage with 1 piece?

Can someone throw out some good reputable companies to buy from.
I hear talley, DNZ, leupold, and weaver make exceptional products.

I picked these 2 scopes, just need to figure out what magnification I want.

Probably Medium. My 40mm bells fit nicely with "Low" DNZ.

1 piece makes installation really simple and easy; no lapping. I am really impressed by the one-piece DNZ on my Tikka. (Unfortunately, my Tikka is in for warranty--another story.)

I cant reccomend DNZ gamereaper mounts enough. I have them on several of my rifles. Since I started using them I've become a big fan of 1 piece mounts.

Size wise, if it helps, I have a Medium DNZ mount on my Marlin XL7 and it has an Ospry International 50mm objective scope on it. That being said, I tried Medium rings from Weaver, and they were too short.

From the DNZ Products website:
Medium mounts fit all 44MM objective scopes and most 50MM plain bell objective scopes. *High mounts fit all 50MM objective scopes and most 56MM objective scopes.

Hope that helps!

I have 2 Tikka T3's- one with medium DNZ and 42mm objective and one with low Talley's and 36mm objective (see pics). Medium in either should work with a 50mm objective.

I'm also a big fan of the DNZ rings, both from a price and quality perspective. The only issue I could see is the lack of adjustiblity should you need it, but that is nothing a shim couldn't fix.
