Scoped rifle safe

Curious what gun safe you guys would recommend in the $3-4000 price range. Want security, fire rating, etc.

I'm very pleased with my Summit Denali 60. Very well-built for the money - more steel than anything else I found in the price range.

We have a Sturdy Safe. 4 gauge walls and 3/8" door. Couldn't be happier. Theyre very flexible with many options.

They look pretty good. I would love to know how the bolts are supported. I know how Sturdy does it, which is extremely well.

Well, I don't know how often this happens, but I'm very disappointed... received the tracking number from sturdy and two days ago I got a call setting up a delivery appointment for yesterday from 1-3:00pm... so yesterday, I'm waiting for delivery after taking off work. About 11:00am I get a call saying south eastern freight lines hadn't received the safe from road runner and it won't be delivered. Got in touch with sturdy, they call me back 2 hrs later and tell me it's still sitting on the dock in San Francisco. That it wasn't on the truck it was supposed to be on...RRRRRRRR, really frustrated me to the point I damn near ready to cancel the safe order and want a refund... has this happened to someone else.

I'm not very up-to-date on safes since the one that I purchased, a Fort Knox I got about thirty years ago. It was shipped direct from Utah to my door with no problem. A somewhat local trucker (Oak Harbor freight) delivered it. Combined weight of shell and door is well over 1,000 pounds. But the thing that I didn't like about it or any other safes that I've seen is the gun rack. None appear to be designed for the shape of a scoped rifle. In the desire to increase the quantity of guns a model will hold the gun rack is set to hold nothing but shotguns or iron sight only rifles, and then there is very little space for the buttstocks. I corrected this problem by removing the gun rack and shelves, replacing them with a correctly proportioned gun rack. I hope the freight outfit gets their act together and gets your safe to you with no further problems.
