Security Six Grips, same as GP100?

Which prompts me to recall the stories that emerged regarding the first
S&W .357 cartridges which were paired with the Registered Magnum
with 8 3/8thd barrels.

When shooters were able to obtain said cartridges or duplicate them with
home brew, the RM's could barely get through a cylinder full of rounds
before the barrel was badly leaded and accuracy went way down.

(Later on gas checks were added to the bullets to avoid the problem.)
I held a RM at my local shop! what a real honey of a gun!

wonder what full house .357 feels like with those skinny wood grips?

thinking a wood handle hammer smacking a iron anvil?!?!

I should probably experience at lease once?
It's not horrible but I wouldn't say it's fun either, the original wood grips didn't fit my hand too good so I wasn't very accurate with magnum loads. I thought I was losing my double action skills at first.
They weren't bad with 38 special, they did sting a little with magnums. It wasn't unbearable, I'd say it was more annoying than anything. With the Pachmayr grips I can shoot a couple boxes of magnums and keep going.

Oh if you're shooting the big magnums I really don't think it'll be an issue with 357. The biggest issue for me was the original wood grips didn't fit my hand, if they had been target style wood grips I think it would've been different. Once I found rubber grips that worked I was all set.

my 1st revolver was a .460V S&W. Handloaded very hot rounds. That’s when I wanted everything BIG! 50BW, .458 SC, 45/70, 7STW. These days, I’m loving .38 S&W!

38 s&w or 38 special? Just wanted to ask cause they're totally different. Do you reload at all? If not you should, you can do alot with 38 special and 357 magnum.
