I just purchased a used Seecamp LSW .32acp but it didn't come with the instruction manual. I'd appreciate any info on how to fieldstrip the Seecamp to clean it (just enough to clean it). TIA

Well, since nobody else will answer this one, I'll take a crack at it. I had a Seecamp about 6 years ago, didn't own it that long but I recall the take down is exactly the same as the Autauga .32 I replaced it with. Take the magazine out and verify it is unloaded. Pull the slide back a little bit and use the magazine to hold the slide open. The BACK side of the magazine is put in the open slide at a 90 degree angle just to hold it open.

There is a hole on the back left side of the slide that will now be lined up with a "button" on the frame when the magazine is holding open the slide.
Get a punch or something else to insert in the slide hole and push down on the button on the frame. Might be a little difficult the first time or two. As you push the button in, pull up on the back of the slide and lift it off the frame. Watch the 2 recoil springs below the barrel so you don't lose them.

To put it back on, put the recoil springs back in and fit the slide over the front end of the frame. Pull the trigger so the hammer comes back most of the way and hold it there. Pull back on the slide and snap it down on the frame. You pull it back to the point where the frame hole lines up with the button on the frame.

Its a little different than the Autauga..

Here goes..

FIRST>>MAKE SURE MAGAZINE AND CHAMBER ARE CLEAR OF LIVE ROUNDS..

Drop the mag about 1/8in, the slide will funtion freely(if the mag is droped to far the saftey will engage and the slide will be very hard to move) verify chamber is empty and insert a 32 shell casing in the open chamber this will hold the slide back enough to line up the slide release button, I use a small hex wrench pust into the hole at the rear left of slide. You will hear a "click" push the slide up slightly, pull back, lift forward and off.

Back together.. make sure you put the recoil spring back the way it came out, insert the mag. back in to the same height as take down(about 1/8in from fully seating) line up the slide with the front frame notches as your pulling back the slide pull the trigger slightly so the slide can drop down between the hammer and frame.

I then rack the slide 20-30 times to make sure the lube gets seated properly and thats it your good to go.

It is very simple and quick after you have done it a few times.

Do a search in this forum for "seecamp info" and there will be one of my old threads with seecamps PH#, you can call and request a manual.
