How would you define "professional" training?
Would a standard NRA-type safety class before issuance of a CCL be considered professional-enough?
What about someone who doesn't have much spare cash or time, but who has been shooting since his grandpa took him out as a child, and who knows firearms safety & shooting skills by heart, be considered "untrained"?
I don't want to things to go this way because it could be another means that gun-grabbers would use to prevent the "average" citizen from accessing firearms by tying access to training.
BTW, I have no problems with professional training, but it isn't available to everyone, nor are all "pro" trainers equal in skills and teaching abilities.
