I have a 4" GP100 in stainless. Bought it LNIB a few months ago. I also have a mint S&W 686. I am thinking of buying an AR-15 (I have a Colt already), and am considering selling the GP to offset the price of the AR. Now, the GP does not get carried. It sits in the safe. It gets shot maybe once a year, and .38 ammo (not even counting .357) isn't any cheaper then .223. The 686 is never going anywhere. Too sweet a gun. The GP is nice, but the 686 is nicer.
I can't buy the AR without selling the GP, and a Mossberg 930 shotgun (I have a Rem 870, and my range only allows slugs, and slugs aren't fun to shoot more than a few boxes at a time).
So I'm thinking of selling 2 guns that i rarely shoot for 1 that I will shoot more, and I have tons of AR mags for the Colt.
Am I crazy? I have 5 other handguns, so do I really need the GP? I see-saw back and forth about it, not because I love the Gp that much, but just because I will be letting 2 go for 1.
