Sell sks or mini 30

:banghead::banghead:IAM THINKING OF SELLING ONE OF MY RIFLES, NEED MONEY IAM GOING TO THE GUN SHOW THIS WEEKEND HERE IN LOUISVILLE ,KY. I CANT DECIDE ON WHICH TO LET GO, ITS HARD CHOICE FOR ME BECAUSE I LIKE BOTH.ANY WAY MY QUESTION TO MY FELLOW GUN NUTS IS WHICH WOULD YOU LET GO. CHINESE SKS OR RUGER MINI -30 THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.

If your SKS was a russkie, I'd sell the mini 30. But since it's not, sell the simonov.

I have both.

Hunting: Depends on which is more accurate. If equal the Mini is lighter.

Plinking: SKS. The Mini-30 doesn't like the hard primers of cheap ammo.

Defense: Mini. Even after shooting a SKS for 15 years I still don't like stripper clips.

If your Mini shoots steel case ammo without any problems I would keep it.

I would sell the mini. SKS can do anything the mini can and has a bayo..,

Sell the Mini-- you could get more money for it than the SKS-- and the SKS will hold its own with a Mini 30---

Use the money to buy something real good..or at least some ammo...

Or another SKS....

One Question: Why are you selling in the first place? If you need the cash, I understand -BTDT. But if you're looking to finance another purchase simply save your sheckels and keep them all.

I've traded and sold a lot of guns in the past. As I look back there are only 2 I don't regret getting rid of. THe rest I kick myself regularly for parting with.

thanks for all the replies, its given me time to think of a different direction for the money needed. fortunately ive got some collectable knives i sold and this will delay selling my rifles for know! thanks again chris.

Glad you're keeping them both. Ask yourself which rifle do the still import or make in this country. Which one will be more readily available to buy new or used in the future. Remember when SKS's were only collector items?
