Selling the SKS for an AK47

Thanks for the all the input. I may keep the SKS and just save for an AK. That way I have more time to explore the models available and perhaps even having the opportunity to shoot some.

i was just searching around on the web last night and centerfire sysytems has Veprs in the 223, 5.45, and 7.62x39 flavors for $550. Thats a hell of a deal imo.

The Chinese military in the 70's and 80's actually used both. The sks was capable of a little more accuracy, while the AK made up the bulk of the rifles issued for firepower.... Just a fun fact...but I cant find the article.

That's a good find and a good deal. If I were interested in VEPRs, I'd buy a couple.
