i didnt shoot today because it started to sprinkle and I just shot Handguns/AR's and had a bunch of fun shooting moving shotgun hulls at 25 yards using a Bushmaster Xm-15E2S with MOE set and a Trijicon ACOG 4 power. :D
but nothing for the match. maybe tomorrrow maybe not.

Since last months winner discounted a shot, heres my 3 shot group, with my cold shooter discount

What was the winning group? I posted a .215" 5 shot group, no flyer called.

Might just be me but a 3 shot group with 2 "so called" flyers would be considered a 5 shot group.
But in the end they are your rules, I'll try to get out and try to shoot.

KSCCH won, I'll go look it over. yeah his group was tighter with that ugghhhh....
Mosin Nagant.
Im confused now.
because his were tigher than yours without subtracting bullet diameter, and ran through on target and were a bit over .1 MOA.
and yours were very confusing, but I see a 0.419-0.204=0.215
but his was already .347" without subtracting anything. now, 0.347-0.311= 0.036"
sooo.. he won?
right?
yes?

Huh. Way I read the rules, I can fire a three shot group and discount the worst two shots. So I'm officially submitting a one shot group of 0.00". When do I get my prize? :D

no. the final group must have 3 selected shots, you can call 2 flyers due to personal error. this is to save ammo, time and patience, I have heard it enough to say if you dont want the bit of slack some people appreciate then dont use it.
its not there because guns make flyers, its because people have errors and since this is not an NRA match it's ok to call yourself out, people mess up.
so if you use your 2 optional flyers you would have 5 shots, but 2 cant be part of the main group, so you cant go out shooting 5 shots and leaving it up to me to subtract the 2 you dont want.

No, the .347" is already center to center and you dont subtract the bullet diameter from it. What you came up with is a group of .036" which is 36 thousandth's of an inch. This would be a slightly out of round hole.

This isnt about winning, I really just tinker with shooting as it gives me something to do in my spare time, it's about correct measuring.

Here is a 5 shot group that measured about .138" if that gives you and idea.

Again I have to ask this question. Why is the "flyer" always the shot(s) that land away from the others.

:confused::confused::confused:
