Well, the Senate Republicans got the Dem's to vote for and pass the Assault Weapons Ban Renewal then the Republicans got to ride in on their white steeds and kill it before the end of the day.

There will be no more gun legislation this year, and maybe there will be a few less Dem's around next year when the Gun Manufacturers Liability Protection Bill comes up again.
The Assault Weapons Ban will expire in Sept. of this year even though nearly every Democrat in the Senate is on record for having voted for its renewal in an election year. What a master stroke.
