I had recently sold my GP100, then ran across another steal from a friend of mine and got it even cheaper than I sold my last on! The old one wore badger custom smooth finger groove grips (which I got to keep as part of my deal). They are very, very dark and I feel they would look better on a stainless Gp100 than the black one I now have (again). Anyway-- to my point:

The factory grips are cool, but not my style. I want something other than the badger smooth finger grooves that I kept, so I want to know what you guys suggest? Please feel free to show pictures of your GP100--regardless of finish or barrel length, with non-factory grips. It's hard to tell what most of the grips on the market look like unless you see them on your model wheel gun and pics of GP100s just arent out there.

Any suggestions? Again, please post pics of your GP100 wearing whatever you suggest if you can!

A little window shopping with the courtesy of my fellow high-roaders. Thanks in advance.

I believe you can get custom inserts for the factory grips. I have some badger custom grips on my Security Six that fit my hand better than anything else, except the stock GP100 grips.

Here are my two GP100's. The stainless gun has some Hogue finger groove grips. The blue GP100 has some wood grips that are an direct duplicate of the rubber/wood factory Ruger grips! Although these second set of smooth wood grips were made by Lett and were discontinued a few years ago, these grips do show up on ebay from time to time! They were originally made for the Super Redhawk which uses the same grips that come factory original on the Gp100's!

Every time I see that Blued GP100 with those Lett grips.....I have to admit I get green with envy.
Nice 3" GP slick6!
I think I have seen it on another forum??? once or twice.

Thanks for the compliment! And yes, I have posted my Blue 3" GP100 with the Lett grips on it on another forum before.

Thank you also for your compliment!

I don't own a GP100, but I'm a fan of Badger grips on my Smiths. Check out http://www.badgercustomgrips.com/ruger_pistol_grips.php?page=1
They look pretty 'sexy' to me, albeit a bit unusual. I like unusual though... but I'm not sure about those grip bottoms..

Black Adder LXX:

Thank you very much! I'll admit that I'd like the original GP100 rubber grips for shooting my GP100's-but for looks, the wood grips are really nice! I haven't shot either of these guns yet! If I do, I'll probably just shoot the stainless GP100 and preserve the blue 3-inch GP100. However, my choice in shooting would be for just the milder .38 special ammo rather than for the more potent .357 magnums, for just target practice! But, I mostly just like to collect mint guns anyway-rather than to dirty them up shooting them!:what::confused:

Pics don't do it justice but these are nice red & grey wood inserts for the stock rubber.
