No synthetic stocks, but they can be fitted with one. If you do on a Yugo though, you must play the less-then-10 foreign parts game.

Not entirely true.

If you replace the standard stock with one that would make the weapon banned from importation (pistol grip or 'assault' stock), you have to play the parts game.

However if you replace it with a synthetic Monte Carlo style or other conventional stock, you don't have to play the 10 parts game.

wow

Gewer98 Is that a muzzlebrake or some kind of barrel mod??
Does anyone mack a bullpup stock for the SKS if not why not?

It's a muzzle brake.

The brake is made to fit the barrel after the front sight/bayonet lug assembly is removed. The company that made it was called Capco, but I haven't seen any others available since I bought this one.

Not the response I got back. I wat told, by the ATF, that changing it in any way makes it unimportable. Remember Yugos are brought in under the C&R status. Changing anything drops them out of that status, and you have to play the ten or less game, as they are unimportable in their original form.

According to my letter from the ATF, you can remove the GL or bayonet for shooting purposes without affecting the C&R status of the firearm. So you can make some changes and they'll still be C&R

It turns out we're both partially right. You can replace the stock on a Chinese rifle with a conventional style or non folding pistol grip stock without worrying about anything. Just don't add a bayonet or detachable magazine because then you have to play the parts game.

On a Yugo, you have to remove the features that would make it unimportable under 922(r) (bayonet, bayonet lug, GL, etc) if you replaced the stock with a conventional or a pistol grip stock and removed it from C&R status. If you don't remove the features, then again you have to play the parts game.

Just bought a set of Tech Sights for it. I'll post a pic of the new setup later. ;)
