Hunting SKS's

I had a really accurate Yugo SKS with TechSights that would put five Uly 8m3s into about 1.5" at 100 yards. Took a couple deer with it, both inside 50 yards. Both ran about 40 yards and expired. Sold the rifle to a friend when I started hunting with my M1A.

My daughter used my Norinco to take her first whitetail. Steel cased hollow point, one shot, DRT. Dropped in its tracks. Rifle was completely stock. I have always liked the SKS rifles. Cheap does not equal junk. JMO.

I load cast bullets for a buddy who hunts with a cut down Nork. A 155 gr cast bullet with wide meplat going 1,900 will anchor a deer at the ranges that most of hunt. His is very accurate with that load.
