I took my 1911 to the range and handled her for the first time today.

She was a bit awkward at first, I was not surprised, it was her first time after all. (A few jams, usually at the end of the magazine, that will go away)

She spoke to me with such a lovely voice. (Authoritative. Not like that 9 mm I used to hang out with)

Once we got our rythm, we made beautiful music together. (The heavier barrel helps me stay on the money, especially during double-taps)

It's the start of a beautiful relationship.
She is my handgun, and I am her man.
I will have knowledge of no other handgun before her.
I will suffer no one to look askance upon her,
for she is mine alone.

Jump on this thread and tell me about the first time you fired the handgun you knew would be your friend forever.

what a Love story , I hope you live a wonderful life together.

Me , every time I find one , along comes another and steals my heart

Great story! I hope you have many happy years together. But in the words of the philisopher "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with."

The "gal" I spend every day with is a Kimber-ly Pro Carry. But on weekends, my time is usually divided between her cousins, Stainless Target II 10mm and Colt Annie-conda. Guess I'm just fickle.

I'm a fickle sob. I love them all then drop them like a mangy stray dog on an Alabama summer day. If I look at what I have had and what I now have, I don't think I have anything that I wouldn't trade if something better came along.
