does anyone have a shilen barrel and action. someone said he only makes barrels now. thanks for any info.

Sorry I can't answer your question. I do have a Shilin barrel (26"-regular taper, not a bull barrel) that I had installed on a M98 Argentine Mauser action. I consider the barrel to be of the very highest quality. That gun is superbly accurate. The caliber, BTW, is 25-06.

a friend of mine has one in 280 cal. he made the action off of rem. 700. nice gun all stainless with teflon coateing. he did not like the look so of stainless.

I have a 7mmx300 Weatherby that was built by Shilen in 1979. Barrel,action,trigger,and stock were all made by Shilen. Only thing that is not Shilan is the bases and rings. You are correct as far as I know that today they no longer make actions. Been a few years since they have I believe.
