dang it - forgot to buy powder

i was just at the outfitter and spent some cash on my new gun safe. forgot my reloading stuff - i.e. powder. i was going to try some HS-6. oh well i guess i will have to go back.

do you guys find one powder per gun and caliber or do you just experiment alot with different combos?

I tend to piddle and experiment till I find the perfect loads for each gun. For example I found that 4 grns of unique and a 88 grn Jhp works perfectly in the 380 auto. No more experiments there, just keep loading them. Same thing for 45 acp. 4.9 grns of bullseye, 230 grn hardball. Works perfect and I just keep shooting them.

The rest of the rounds are just a steady run of experiments.

When you guys say cans of powder, do you really mean kegs? :D

I run several powders myself, but the ones I use for my "standard for caliber loads" I buy in 8 lb. kegs. I buy the 1 pounders for load development.

And I just returned from MidwayUSA.com...I don't need any powder as yet, but I did need to up grade my loading bench. Bought a few new toys :)
