Shooting Death of Gay Student Sparks Outcry in California

What's "phoney" or "PC" about calling out bigotry and irresponsible behavior for what it is? Do you believe that the kid was in the right when he shot down his schoolmate? Surely you must, since you seem to be painting those of us who think it was an unjustified and unacceptable attack as being the hypocritical ones!

How come these stories never end in the arrest of the parent of the juvenile shooter?

When a kid breaks a window, the parent is held responsible for the repair.

When he gets his learner's driving permit at age 15 in California, the parent is held responsible for the juvenile's liabilities.

Parents are always held responsible for the destructive behavior of their children.

But when a kid shoots another kid, the parents get off scott free.

How come?

I grew up with some guidelines and I don't feel it was an infringement on my rights.
One has to be pretty ignorant or stupid to not understand when you infringe, both sides of a sharp sword comes to mind. Cuts both ways. This person was what many would consider a pathetic individual, but the way he accosted the other was pure over stepping his bounds also. Free is not what many think it is, freedom has some major responsibility and those who are not aware of it will fail every time.

So, was Rosa Parks ignorant when she "infringed" on societal guidelines? I'm sure there were (and probably still are) a lot of individuals who considered her a "pathetic individual".

I detest homosexuality as a choice in my own life. What someone else chooses in their own life is their affair. My responsibility as a citizen is to honor their right to choose as they honor mine for me.

How does this apply to us as firearms owners? We need to be proactive about teaching personal responsibility to our children. If our kids have access to firearms and the education to use them they should also be getting even more education and training in their proper use and place.

The bickering that has been going on here about the right or wrong of the victim's choices and actions is inappropriate. You do not have to believe homosexuality is right. I certainly do not. However, none of us is God and should not place ourselves in a position to judge others wrongly. Choose for yourself but respect other's rights to choose as well.

I am so glad that when I page jumped to grab a quote, my first response disappeared into the ether.

Those of you who think the VICTIM (yeah, the dead kid) deserved this or should have seen it coming amaze me.

Here at THR we bristle at the idea of ANY infringement on our Second Amendment rights, yet YOU (yeah, I mean you intolerant ones) seem to think that it's OK for the little bas---d to pick on the victim because he's different and when the kid defends himself with what I think are some pretty effective Psyops It's OK or at least "not surprising" that the little Bas---d executes him. Talk about infringing on rights.

When they took away the gay kids human rights I did nothing because I was not gay.

When they took away the (enter ethnic minority here) human rights I did nothing because I was not (____________)

Then they came an' took my guns away Boo Hoo...

Pathetic.
