Shooting Watermelons

When I was in college, we use to line up a date and take them to a watermelon roast in the mountains. Cut a hole in the top, pour in vodka, plug it back up, put it in the campfire and wait.. When it blew up, we'd all go out and find a piece.....

A freind of mine gets the food waste from a local grocer for feeding to his pigs. Shooting at over ripe potatoes is more fun than should be allowed. Sometimes need a shower afther though. :barf:. And yes, salt on watermelon.

Salt here as well, a shower?? move out further :) LOL

First thing that popped into my mind when I saw the heading "Shooting Watermelons" was, I wonder what kind of crimp they used, roll or taper?:what:

Ditch the vodka/rum and use Everclear. Did that a few times when I was a ignorant young man but wouldn't think about it now.
For those of you that like to use fruits and vegetables as targets please shoot some beets. My mom use to make me eat them 3-4 x a week when I was younger and I absolutely detest them. I say less beets in the world is a good thing.

Whenever I get the urge to blow up a watermelon with Tannerite, I go to the grocery store and ask if they have any damaged ones that they no longer fit to sell. They usually just give them to me, saves them the bother of disposal.

Not me. I am especially fond of deer, antelope and elk. There ain't nothing better than a whitetail back strap done medium rare on a charcoal grill! Seasoned to your taste, of course.
I refer you to post #27 in this thread.

Yeah there is - my wife's chicken fried venison (mule deer) steaks, biscuits and gravy, mashed potatoes and corn. That, or her cholesterol building, deep-fat fried venison finger steaks, onion rings, and a crisp, ice cold lager.
Note: I'm 70, so it's a little late for me to get in line for a new heart, and nobody wants mine.:D
