Shooting with my grandson

I have three grandsons and one grand daughter and have had a hand in teaching all but the youngest grandson to shoot. He has Asperger's syndrome and will not be around loud noises. All are adults with their own families now. They have supplied me with three great grand daughters and a great grandson to keep me busy. The oldest will be ten in just a few days and has become an excellent shot. Next is her younger sister at six and is learning. If I last long enough there is another at three years and her little brother at just two months to continue with. It's been a fairly long journey and a fun one and I'm looking forward to it's continuation.

I can't wait. Fostering is wierd, even as an adoptive placement. Can't really take mine to the range til the judge signs off to make the whole shebang finalized. But, it's coming in short order. I'm waiting somewhat impatiently to go buy a pair of marlin 795 stainless/synthetic identical to my wife's gun. Light, accurate, cheap, fun. I guess I will stuff the mags on them to make them mag loaded singleshots until we are ready to progress. In the meantime we are making other memories, 2 kiddos caught their first ever fish today. Proud daddy right here.
Good for you and them. Next to hunting/shooting you can't go wrong with taking them fishing.
