Shorten Throw on Benelli SuperNova?

is there a way to shorten the throw on Pump action shotguns? I just got a Benelli SuperNova and its a great gun, except the throw seems ridiculously long. I have an older Mossberg 500. wooden stock, nothing fancy or tactical. and the throw on the SuperNova is way longer. I would have expect it to be less. I have owned a few Pumps and none have ever had a throw like this.

The SuperNova is a 3.5" shell action, and its throw is gonna be longer than a 2 3/4" or 3" action. That's just the way that it is.

The Nova is a 3" action, and that may be more to your liking.

Maybe my memory is Playing tricks on me. but I dont recall the Mossberg 535 I had having that big a difference in throw from the 500. this seems drastic. I like everything else about the SuperNova other then the Throw.

When I first took my tactical nova (not super nova) to a shot gun class it sure did not snick snick like an 870. I switched back to a good old 870 during the first part of the 3 day class much to Louis Awerbuck's amusement. ALL Novas are 3.5" chambered weapons to my knowledge.

Yup - I just checked and I mis-remembered that bit. The Nova and SuperNova 12ga guns are, in fact, all 3.5" actions.
