Only had time for 40 rounds (which says nothing) of 140 gr fmj. This is not only my first Glock, but my first time shooting a .357 Sig, or owning a pistol chambered in it as a matter of fact. Here's my thoughts:

Holy hell, the .357 is loud. Percussion is IMO greater than a .40 short and wimpy.

Oh my, does that round buck. To me, being used to 9x19, 9x18, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP...this thing kicks like a mule. I'm going to attribute that to the light weight frame of the G32. No limp wristing or grip choking on my part, so shots were consistent yet low. I was shooting gongs, so I have no picture to show, but I saw where they hit via paint craters. Wonder why?

Overall opinion: I like it. However, I want to get adjustable sights to replace the stockers. I think I can accurize this lil guy with sights I can adjust. Also, prolly going to start shooting 125 gr., mainly to lessen the recoil (I know, I'm a wuss) and to be able to require targets faster. Damn, that trigger is light, too. Not that I'm complaining, but it sneaks up on ya for being DAO. Thanks for reading, if anyone has comments I'd love to hear! :)

I shoot quite a bit of .357 sig. Mostly from my 2nd gen g23 with a lonewolf g32 barrel. However, I also have an od green g33, and a lonewolf g31 barrel for my 2nd gen g22. I swapped out the glock OEM rsa on the g23 and g22 with a 20lb ismi spring, and lonewolf rod. It helps with the snappy recoil.

I mostly shoot my own reloads of 8 grains of power pistol over a 125 grain plated, or cast bullet. I've got a video on here somewhere showing the muzzle blast from my g23/g32 with this recipe.

Here is a great link to a .357 sig resource:

In terms of recoil of full power loads in common auto cartridges, I'd order them from least to greatest:

9mm
.45
.40
357sig
10mm

125gr isn't going to be any less recoil; probably the opposite in a load of the same general power level. G32 is a real nice package. I have a .40 barrel for mine too.

I love this pistol, do not regret it. I just need to tame this beast down a tad. Does any one make a steel, tungsten, or aluminum guide rod with heavier spring installed?

I've got the same pistol and i love it. Very accurate fast round. You're definitely right about the recoil tho, its a dang snappy round. I carry mine from time to time with 115 grain JHP's

Okay, quick question: Being that the .357 Sig possesses significant recoil, would a 24 lb wolf Spring and steel rod help soak up some recoil, or will I get FTEs?

I ordered the steel rod and 20 lb spring. Thanks Dan. I don't know jack about Glocks, this is my first. Shot em, never owned em. This lil guy is fast becoming a friend.

for me shooting a g32 with Gold Dot or HSTs in the 125grn don't recoil as bad as my 23 with .40 165grn GD. for me the sig round seems to recoil quicker than the .40. I think the blast often gives the shooter the idea it recoils more.

Shot my G32 for the first time yesterday. Recoil was less than I expected based on internet posts. Is louder than 9mm or 45acp, but will be my primary range gun from here out. Looking for 40 and 9mm conversion barrels now.
