I never realized how much fun shotgun shooting is because I have pretty much have always have been a rifle shooter. Well I took my new Mossberg 590A1 out for its first outing today and it was awesome. I shot two games of trap with some friends and I managed to hit 34 out of 50 which I thought was pretty good. So far I see no need to really change anything to my 590 except maybe change the stock because everytime I mounted the shotgun I would have to push the shotgun away from me than shoulder it because if I didn't the top of the butt would hit under my arm. Do you think a shorter buttstock would cure this problem or am I mounting the shotgun wrong? Even with that problem I had a blast I can't wait to take it out again.
