Shot my PM9 finally

I finally had time to go to the range and start the break in on my PM9. It's definitely different shooting it vs. a full size pistol. I was shooting low and left mostly. Since the grip is so small I figured out I was using too much finger on the trigger. It helped to just use the pad of my index finger.

On the positive side, my little PM9 ate over 100 rounds with no issues whatsoever. After that I decided to switch to my XD for a bit.

Congrat's with the kahr. You did good to get'n a 100 rounds at one setting. These small pistol can tenderize some of the skin and tissue on the back inside of your thumb and webbing area of your hand. If you think would like a better grip on the pm9 you could get a free uMed inner tube from a bike shop and cut a full sized grip cover. It does help to hold on. many guys shoot low left at first. It will teach you a better grip on a pistol and better trigger control. Larger pistols allow for very sloppy control and even racking of a slide on a handgun and still function and shoot well. With the little pm/cm series kahrs it seems like you have to learn again to get a good grip along with a full solid rack and clean release for good normal operation. Sounds like you have it covered.

Nice gun. I have one and it gets carried and shot a lot. I am a DA revolver shooter and the Kahr trigger system is one of the best out there.

I put 150 through my CM9 first time out & yea, the mitt was a little red but no big deal. I'd rather push even 200 through the Kahr than 30 or so through a P64!

I ran a mixed bag of ammo: Rem 115gr. +P JHP's, std. 115gr. FMJ, and a box my 125gr. LRN reloads. All fine & the +P's really weren't that much snappier.

Glad yours ran well. I was dubious at first but zero issues to date is helping inspire confidence. When I get to 500, in the pocket holster it goes.

I've got two, 7500 rounds through one and 1500 through the other, no issues, nice little carry pistols.

The only ammo I had on hand was some Winchester white box and a bunch of hand loads. The range doesn't allow hand loads and didn't have any 9mm on the shelf, so WWB it is. I figured since it was more of a break-in session any FMJ ammo was probably ok. Once I make it through another 100-150 rounds I'll run some different stuff through it and see if it is temperamental on what it eats.

I ended up putting a Hogue grip sleeve on the PM9-size grip on my P9 Covert, the sleeve holds a sort of pad on the back of the grip which I made from thick clear vinyl tubing. The pad enlarges the grip to make it more naturally grippable for my long fingers. Holding and shooting the gun feels much more natural this way.

I found I conceal a Glock 26 just as easily though so the Kahr is going up for sale soon.

I have put 150 through my PM9 on several occasions--everything up to and including 115+p+ BPLE and 127 +p+ Ranger.

Mine has been running strong for over seven years. I have owned a number of other small pistols, but they have come and gone, while the PM9 came and stayed.

I found I conceal a Glock 26 just as easily though so the Kahr is going up for sale soon.

Really. My PM9 is pocket carried. I have never found any double stack that could be pocket carried. And honestly, I cannot comfortably conceal a double stack IWB.
Of course, I am not a Behemoth.

My PM9 has about 300 rounds of WWB FMJ and JHP thru it with no malfunctions at all. I really like mine it has night sights for low light use. I plan on putting a CT laser on it down the road. I want to have CT lasers on all my personal defense handguns, 3 more to go.

I've carried my PM9 for years and have been completely satisfied with it. It was my first small sized concealed carry pistol and was just recently replaced by an XDs45.

My PM9 and its well used High Noon holster....

Mine had to go back to the Factory once. It was reliable after that. Two hundred rounds of ball ammo later I put these through it and now one of these three are the carry rounds.

Mine is looking like this now. I shoot it much better with the Laser.
