I have recently started reloading 12 guage shot shells, I was given several hundred western wads (wt12) I can't find any load data in my books using F209A prim. 1 1/8 oz shot with the normal alliant powders (red dot, green dot etc.) I am using remington (green) hulls. Any suggestions on a load that is safe with these wads?

WT12 wads are direct subtitition for WAA12 wads. The orange wads you have are cheaper than the white WAA12 wads. You may use any WAA12 load data.

Who makes the WT12 and who sells them? I have just about used all the WAA12 I have on hand and if the WT12 is cheaper I want to go that way.

Back on Jan. 6 Markmall, in response to a question from another member said that, “WT12 wads are a direct substitute for WAA12”

Also, today I was looking through the wads that are offered by Natchez Shooters Supply and found the following under the heading “Claybuster Replacement Wads…Claybuster/Harvester”.

1. Wad CRCB111812SV replacement for WAA12.
2. Wad CRCB011812 replacement for WT 12.

Therefore based on the first paragraph above and numbers 1 & 2 above I assume that any recipes for any of these wads can be used with any of the other three wads.

Yea or Nay. What say you?

Signcutter , WT12 wads are made by winchester. I think they are made from recycled plastic? Claybuster wads CB0118-12 & CB1118-12 are direct replacements for the winchester wads and would use WAA12 loading data.

Claybuster and Downrange both make clones of Winchester, Remington, and Federal wads. Bought by the case of 5,000, the cost drops more than by buying a bag at a time. Use whatever data for the name brand with the clone that matches
