That because Ack-Mac ran the NRA to the ground.
itching to donate to a firm that takes cases to the Supreme Court?

I've thought about the SAF and GOA, just haven't looked into them enough.

SAF is bringing cases to the Supreme court. They are run by a bunch of lawyers who are on the side of the Guns! I send them my money!I've thought about the SAF and GOA, just haven't looked into them enough.
Over the decades I have been a Voting member, I have been more than passing annoyed that the ballot does not allow for write-in candidates--even as I recognize the reasons why.
Each of us must needs do as our conscious requires and directs.
This year Frank Tait is on the ballot, and he’s the only one I am voting for.
Unfortunately that's about as good as an NRA thread can get givens the current state of the originization. I wish it was otherwise......just another NRA bashing thread.
I rest my case.Unfortunately that's about as good as an NRA thread can get givens the current state of the originization. I wish it was otherwise.

I rest my case. It's not a bashing thread; because The NRA has asked all of US for Money over the years and a lot of US have given it. ( we probably could have purchased some real nice guns from what we have given). So it would be nice for them to Man Up and take responsibility for their wrong doing and put the 2 amendment and the membership ahead of themselves for once. Now they are acting just like the people they Bad Mouth about being against the 2 Amendment. I am sure most of the members also would like their vote to count for something too.
Hundred of Millions wasted, Control Controversy by Ack-Mac, political backlash, …. Sooooooo, if someone is "bashing" the leadership they're bashing the NRA.......... Got it........I rest my case.
We need the NRA, We must Have the NRA. They are a national treasure that should be preserved. Once they are overhauled and de-corrupted, WLP in prison, Brewer Law stop defending WLP with member money….If you are not going to help the NRA for heavens sake the least you could do is not hinder them. Or you can simply bash the NRA if it makes you feel better. Costs nothing to bash the NRA.
Check you ballot address, it may be incorrect….

Bashing the NRA is anti-gun. Plain and simple. And that's all fine and good if that is all you want to do. But don't expect those of us that have been NRA members for 50+ years to give you any credibility or respect. We have fought gun battles for decades for gun rights that others are so willingly able to whine about and say that our methods are wrong. We have put in the work. What gives you that right? How about something NRA positive on this thread. It may be pro-gun and gag you for a moment but give it a try.Sooooooo, if someone is "bashing" the leadership they're bashing the NRA.......... I believe it was Stalin, but I could be wrong.“Those Who Vote Decide Nothing, Those Who Counts the Votes Decide Everything”
who was that a Quote By? and it’s been so true
Or we could let you advise us on the proper way to vote.I believe it was Stalin, but I could be wrong.
Nice way to put it!!! my money is still going to SAFRather than just bash the NRA like Bloomberg, Moms demand action, Bill Brady, Gabby Giffords, Hillary Clinton, and many people here. I’ll just try to answer the OP’s question, novel idea as it is.
If you don’t know the positions and values of someone, you shouldn’t vote for them. If you do know their positions but disagree with them, you shouldn’t vote for them. If you do know their positions and you also (for the most part) agree with them then you should vote for them.
So go through every name on the ballot, and simply ask yourself “Do I believe this person will be beneficial to the NRA in its current form?” Three possible answers, yes, no, and I don’t know…. Vote for the people that get a yes. If that is no one, then yes toss it in the trash…. And (preaching to myself here) try to be better prepared next election.
You should get a membership with GOA and FPC.When considering trashing your NRA directors ballot, would you do the same with your local and national election ballots? There isn’t much good to choose from there, either.
Me, I’ll vote in any election I’m eligible for.
Good post and good questions, btw.
