I've heard checkered G10 is very sharp and was thinking even with the relatively smooth surface of the 320 they would most likely have enough grip.

The grip of the 320s really is something for how non-abbrasive they are. I ran them on my Baer for a long time in a Micarta version, now that the 320s are available in G10 I will be replacing the ETCs that I have on there now, probably with the 10-8 grips (still made by VZ) the same Black Cherry as the grips on my NHC. The 320s offer a considerable amount of traction without hurting the hands on long rang trips.

My only beef with the Micarta is that they absorbed moisture. If you do go with the G10, look up using O-rings on the grip screws. I was skeptical but picked some up at the hardware store and they do work as advertised.

Wow you guys are posting nice stuff. I'm going to end up spending some $$$ because of this thread. I just got some black g10 double diamonds from vz this week (no pic yet). You have to appreciate the 1911, a new set of grips is almost as much fun as a new gun. Keep them coming.
