My gun area...

I don't have any pictures of my first attempt at a loading bench. This is a bench I bought from Harbor Freight Tools and built a hutch on top to match it...

I built another bench and hutch to match the first one and installed a safe in one side...



I built the new hutch double deep in order to take advantage of space available...


Here's a full view, showing an added PC and TV...


Some fairly big changes... I built new doors for the cabinets, veneered the rest of the front of the workbench, built a new bookcase for the left side... consolidated the TV and PC...


Finally got around to replacing the old pegboard and border...

I used the drawer from the workbench that had to be removed to make way for the presses, by cutting it down and fitting it into the hutch...


A towelholder I built in the same style as the bench... ;-)


Also made a turret holder for the Lee turret press...


The scales area of the bench...


Here's some detail of the pegboard. The screw covers are the cut down backs of .45ACP shells...


Added a few old metal signs...

Continued... Almost done... promise!!!

FINALLY found a decent bracket for the magnifier to get rid of that bulky base that kept tipping over. Even hit the floor and blew a fuse once...


Built these shelves up in the rafters to hold a nice old pair of Advent bookshelf speakers...



I've got a decent receiver and CD player down there and it sounds sweet. The speakers also work with the TV and the PC...

This is my Dakota gun safe that's right behind the loading bench...


Friends are always giving me gun related stuff. Like a gun shaped bottle full of tequila... That now holds brass shells...

HI< I wouldnt want to take away from the labors of love many of you have put in. But if there are any other 'Git er Done' types here's mine to encourage you. There are actually 4 presses represented here, as well as my casting pot. One more press a Lee but not set up. The base is a old and very heavy table saw. Yes I did drill thru it, so what. If I ever want to use it a few holes dont matter. Like it?

As long as it has enough weight (so it doesn't flop over on you when FL sizing) I don't see a thing wrong with it. Great way to make the most of your space if you have a tablesaw that doesn't see much use, but you want to keep around for a spare or infrequent projects.

Everybody loves my trailer. I just added a flat screen TV inside on a swivelmount so it can be viewed inside or out.

Apartment Living

Reloading in an apartment in the city is a drag but I just have to make do...
I don't often make a mistake, I have another set of eyes watching me!

I live in a 850 sq foot apartment that I have to share with my wife, so I needed a more compact solution than some of those I saw here. I had a guy build me a custom work bench and I've got it all kitted out now. I'm loving it!

"Grass" racks.

The wife found the lawn looking brass racks at "Beds, Bath, and Beyond" a local kitchen supply store. The grass looking piece is a hard plastic like a cutting board and the white plastic drip tray is quite sturdy. The brass just slips over the blades and drys overnight (the whole thing is dish washer safe).

Semi-Portable Press.

I have to spend a week at the inlaws over the holidays so I made a heavy base press stand in hopes of taking my reloading on the road. Press and stand weigh in at 44 lbs and is extremely stable. The base metal is piece of a D-7 Dozer cutting blade.

Don't know if I've posted this or not but I used some Dillon Strong Mounts with some 5/16" plate and made my portable set up. I made accomodations to bolt it to a bench with trough holes in the base.

I made a mini shelf between me and the press.

Here is a video of me de priming a case every 3.5 seconds, using only one hand, to show how convenient the shelf is.
