Sig 2022

They are totally different guns. A Sig Pro (2022) has a polymer frame, so it's lighter. Many people think it is one of the most underrated guns ever because it is very accurate, has a great trigger and is stone reliable (like the standard P series Sigs). It's cheaper probably cause it uses more plastic like a Glock or XD. They are discontinued in the US (although I hear it's back on the Sig website recently) for the new Sig 250. The 250 is more like a Glock, double action only trigger. I shot a 2022 .40 S&W at the range and thought it was a pretty good gun. I may get one too, even though I really like the alloy and stainless Sigs.

The size of the Sig Pro 2022 and the 229 are very similar. The Sig Pro is a few ounces lighter because of the polymer frame, but the Sig Pro is rather heavy compared to other polymer guns like Glock. If you want a traditional DA/SA with hammer and polymer frame the 2022 is about as good as you can get without blowing the bank on an H&K.
