Sig 2022

Mine was @ $449 + tax at Academy Sports.
They are a modestly priced Sig Sauer. I don't know, really, what the "cons" are per se.
It is a polymer frame gun similar to XDs, Glocks, S&W M&Ps, except with a more traditional hammer and they function DA on first shot and SA on follow up shots. They have grip replacements that change the grip size for different size hands, which is good, however, if you want them you have to order them separate from Sig. S&W M&Ps give you a few extras with the gun so you can choose what you want right when you buy the gun.
I have the SP 2022 and I like it. I might have a bit of "tunnel vision" or "Sig" vision but I really can't come up with "cons." I will say that lack of those extra grips with the gun might be considered a "con" I guess ....

I bought one about 3 weeks ago for $499 + tax. It was my first Sig and I REALLY like it. The only con is...... Now I want to buy another Sig!

I just bought mine on the 19th. $495 + Tax. Came with night sights, 3 mags, cleaning stuff, Sig oil, case, etc...I took it to the range the next morning. I ran 200 rounds through with no stoppages or hiccups. It is a mild(er) recoiling 9mm, and fits very well in my hand.
The pros would have to be price and quality. I think this is a VERY good gun for the price. The only con after 200 rounds is the takedown. Its easy once you figure out to look in the hole, line up the lug, slide the lever/pin in, and then pull the slide back until the notch lines up, then push it in the rest of the way.

Great gun! Their "Interchangeable Back Straps" are by far the most impressive design for that market that i have come across.

I have the older one with the proprietary rail which sucks if you ever want to add something but other than that and the fact that your limited on holster's and some other parts for "Options". Those are the only downside to this pistol.

They are highly under rated and often forgotten about. I think the trigger on them is pretty nice in DA and SA and I like Sig's style decocker.

Its a great gun, and the deal from BUD's is amazing

I don't recommend the Sig 2022 9mm. I owned one for a period of time, jammed enough during the only range trip I made with this gun, and happily put it on consignment. I acknowledge that I may have had a lemon, but if I were you, I would save up for a P239/P228/P226, or something else.

The Sig 2022 may be a Sig, but I thought the design was pretty bad. This has nothing to do with the fact that it is a polymer gun. You can do better, IMHO.

Fantastic price for around $450-499. Great value for the money.

The gun can take a beating

Super smooth trigger

Took it our for a spin today. It was very smooth. No malfunctions in about 150+ rounds. I believe it is one of the french contract guns. It has the ifalon finish with triple serial numbers but no proof marks. Came with 2 grips, Sig lite night sites and 2 mags. These were made in Germany so my no Exeter reputation is still in tact for all the fanboys keeping track.

I know a lot came into the country with 3 but oh well. For OTD for less than $450 I cannot complain.

Found the trigger to be very different then the P series. It is much longer DA pull. I found myslf saying wait for it wait for it in my mind as I shot it in DA. More like the DAK trigger than the standard DA trigger on the P series. IIRC it has a different trigger box that is unique to the Sig Pro. The SA is slick. Super smooth and nice predictable reset. Had to think a bit too much on the DA but I am sure I can get used to it given enough trigger time.

It grouped well for me and was pretty much point of aim. Here is a 15 round target at 10 yards. Not too bad. Got that one little guy out of the red. My guess is I was a little too on the trigger and pushed that one. I know it was not the DA shot.

All in all in the sub $500 category this gun is a steal. There is almost nothing out there that you can get for under $500 that will be as nice out of the box except maybe the CZ 75B.

Check on out if you can.
