Sig 220 sight question.

Does anyone happen to know what number of sights the P220 comes with from the factory? I'm taking the night sights off mine, and buying some regular factory sights to put back on it. But I have looked and they are 10 different ones, and different heights. And they all say 220,229,blah,blah,blah.. So if anyone knows which ones my Sig came with. Please let me know. Thanks, Jon

P.S. It's a non rail p220, Probably a few years old.

What website are you referring to which lists several different sights for you P220? I checked out Sigarms.com, but don't find any references to anything other than night sights.

As for the stock sights on your older P220 I can guarantee that they were of the simple white front dot, white rear bar variety. I have my P220 spares somewhere when I removed the originals and replaced them with Novak Tritiums.

If you can refer me to what you're referencing I may be able to help.

Yes, Those are the ones I am interested in. Ebay was were I saw several sets from the same seller.. Numbered #3 to #10, and different heights.

If you can pick the set out that looks correct, that would be great. I would rather buy from a store online that knows some info on them... But I'll take what I can get.

I'm going nuts because I have not been able to locate my originals, but I have found out from knowledgeable folks over at the Sig forum that the P-220 typically comes from the factory with #6 fronts and #8 rears.

I have found in numerous references to #6 fronts and #8 rears posts on that site such as the following:

According to the Sig Armorer's manual, Standard Sights for the 226 are 8 & 8. Makes no reference to different sights for different calibers.

Here are the other site numbers listed for different Sig models with fixed sights:

Thank you very much sir... That is the exact info I was looking for. I have been trying to register over on the sig forums... But my only 2 e-mails that I use are hotmail and gmail, and aparently they don't allow free e-mails for new members to sign up with. I e-mailed the admin, Maybe they will allow me to sign up?

I have two 220's. One has 8-rear 8-front, one has 8-rear 6-front. My 245 has 8-rear 5-front. They all shoot POA.

Thats actually the reason I joined this board. I am active on about 12 other gun forums, But I recently got into reloading, and a friend of mine suggested this site. Solely for the knowledge of the users, and the info that can be gained here in the reloading sections.
