The Sig 232 shows a loaded chamber with the red pop-out pin on the right side, my Sig 239 has the little thing, but it does not 'pop out' when round is chambered? Is this normal? Anyone have pics? :what: Is this a defective gun?

There is no loaded chamber indicator on the P239 of the type you mentioned, at least not on mine. You can see the case in the chamber if you look at the gap between the barrel and the breech if the light is right.

The little thing you see on the P239 is the spring tensioned extractor plunger.

Ok, thanks. I also noticed that the rear sight is non-adjustable?

How do the newer Sig 239s compare to the older ones (from Germany) Mine is American made also it seems.

Not sure that any 239s were ever made in Germany.

A lot of folks extoll the larger sigs with the stamped sheet metal slides made in Germany as superior to the newer jobs with milled stainless steel slides.

Except for weighing an ounce or two less, there is no practical difference. But the difference does give rise to a lot on internet chatter.

You have a very good gun. Unless you win a large lottery, you will not be able to wear it out by shooting. If you put a lot of holster/handling wear on it. Have someone beadblast the slide so you get the full stainless effect and spray the frame with Duracote or such and bake it in the oven for a new gun.
