diehard fans just don't buy new SIGs anymore, just old ones.

I don't agree with this comment since I consider myself a "diehard" SIG fan and don't have a problem with many of the new SIGs. I bought my first SIG almost 20 years ago, a new-in-box P220. I still have that pistol and every other SIG that I've bought since. I currently own eight SIGs including three all German (a P220 and two P225s) with the remaining five (four P220s and a P239) ranging from 2005 to 2010 production. My take on new SIGs is that the P220s and P239s are still excellent pistols and I'll still buy them. I actually prefer the stainless steel slides to the steel ones, I like the Nitron finish, and the newer triggers are markedly better than the old ones. Also, I don't have a problem with the external extractors but would prefer it if SIG hadn't replaced three or four parts with MIM. That's not a failure-based observation, simply an aesthetic one.

Other than 1911s, SIGs are the only semi-auto pistols that I own, want or need. That's not about to change.

When you quote me and then begin your response with "Simply not true...", you just called me a liar.

I don't take that lightly.

Oooooh, now everyone is scared. And they let you own guns?

<edit> poor attitude, and very quick to escalate. Bad combination with firearms.
