Can anyone provide info on this SIG 220R? Serial Number G 383 xxx. Marked -SIGARMS INC.EXETER NH- FRAME MADE IN GERMANY.
Thanks for your help.

Not sure what you are looking for, but I'll give it a try...it's a Sig P220, has a stamped (folded) steel slide, aluminum frame with an accessory rail, and shots .45 acp ammo. It was produced after 1994 with the following improvements over previous versions: stronger frame, heavier recoil spring, and a rebound feature that keeps the hammer away from the firing pin in the rest position. While I personally don't like rails on my pistols, I really like folded-slide P220s. IMO, they are one of the best "out-of-the-box" .45 acp pistols.

The ST models, in either 220, 226, or 229, have stainless steel slides, and stainless steel frames. Until very recently, all the frames were made in Germany. I think the older guns, with the folded steel slides were totally made in Germany. The ones with the alloy frames, and stainless steel slides, had the slides only made in the US.

Thanks guys, I'm just trying to find out anyting I can about this psitol I have in my possesion. It does say stainless on the slide and has the two dot sights, which I am trying to get comfortable with. I got it with box, manual, five factory 8round mags, one after market ten round mag, and a Safariland tactical holster. I should have done my research first, but I had to act fast and had the $750.00 asking price so I did it.
