I took my new Sig Mosquito to the range. As you might know it comes with two recoil springs one for high velocity ammo and one for standard velocity ammo.
It is fitted with the spring for high velocity.

For amusement sake I ran 50 rounds of PMC Scoremaster target ammo-the failure rate was a whopping 96%. I then fired 50 rounds of Winchester Super X target ammo. The failure rate was still 60%

CCI Blazer yielded zero failures. Sellier and Bellot standard yielded one failure to feed or a 2% failure rate.

When you feed it appropriate ammo, it is a fun plinker. If you are a Sig owner I would rate it a must have. If you're not a Sig shooter I think there are better .22s available for less money.

Please note that I said "For amusement sake....". I did not complain that it jammed, I merely noted that it did so and that the failure rate was not consistent between brands.

I'm told that even with the sv recoil spring the Mosquito will not reliably digest target ammo. But I haven't yet tested this myself. I would not not consider this a problem since this is a plinker grade gun rather than a target gun and using target ammo seems like a waste of money.
