Is it just me or is the picture of the SIG P226 Equinox, when you open SIG's homepage, (it is the second gun in the slideshow that automatically plays) different from the one when you click on the gun? In the homepage picture it looks like the grips are a brown wood, where in the other ones they look (and the description says) gray.

Also what are your thoughts on the SIG P226 in general? and the equinox specifically?

I own a P226 in .40. It was my first firearm. Since I bought that I have purchased 11 others but this one is my favorite. I put some Hogue grips on it and enjoy shooting it. I would like to get the .37 SIG barrel for it one day.

I looked at the Equinox but I prefer matte black because it doesn't have any bright spots on it.

I selected and bought it without having shot it but I figured if it's good enough for the SEALS it was good enough for me.

Since then I've tried H&Ks and Glocks and own a Colt Gold Cup but if I had to grab one pistol to take with me, aside from my S&W snub because it's so small, I'd grab the Sig.

so nobody knows why they show a gun with brown grips on the homepage?

I called sig that guys answer was "i dont know", kind of a jerk about the whole question actually.

Does anyone know where to buy brand new factory SIG wood grips?
