After drooling over Ruger's SR1911 for nearly three years, I finally got to hold one that was priced close to MSRP.
Looked it over carefully & then came to the realization that I did not want it so bad now that I bought four 1911 handguns due to the scarcity of the Ruger.
Sitting nearby beneath the same glass case was this P227 for only $130.00 more. I prefer the double stack fit to the single stack, so I handed the salesman my plastic card & away I went.
Got to shoot it today for the first time. I may have to pump five or six thousand rounds through er' to break er' in properly. That seems to be the number needed to get em to bed in & shoot straight n' easy.
Damned if I did get the last one in stock. I'm sure more will arrive soon.
