Before you send your gun to Sig. Have someone else shoot it to see if they can duplicate your issues. Mine shoots exactly to POA-POI at 30'.
Try shooting the gun with one hand with your LEFT hand to see if the slide locks back. There is a 99% chance this is a user error issue. watch this short video. It will solve a lot of problems for a LOT of people ans save Sig from a lot of unnecessary returns.
I shot two-handed, strong hand, and weak hand. The failure to lock back was consistent with all three shooting positions.
Thanks a ton for that video though. This is my first Sig, and it hadn't occurred to me that it might be a platform design ergonomics thing interacting with my normal shooting grip. I've never had this issue with Glocks, SA XDs, or S&W M&Ps. I told the Sig CSR that I'd take it out to the range again. This time I'll be very cognizant of my thumb positioning relative to the slide lock lever. I think the short overall grip circumference probably aggravates that. I'll ask the RSO to shoot it as well. I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige...
