Sig sale?

Yesterday, PSA had the Sig P226 and P229, both in .40 cal only on clearance sale for $599.99. I don't see them listed today. Is Sig discontinuing or replacing those models?

I couldn't find any mention of the sale on their website today. I'm guessing they cleared them out pretty quickly yesterday.

Were they CPOs? I'm seeing a lot of the SIG CPOs around lately, and most in .40.

Either new or CPO, 599 is a decent price (especially if they're non-railed versions) and both the 226 and 229 are, in my opinion, the perfect platform for .40 S&W.

Both are railed versions and the ad said nothing about them being CPO's. When I follow the link from the email today, both are shown as being "Temporarily out of stock".

PSA runs some REALLY nice sales occasionally. About a month or two ago they ran the Citadel 1911 (made by Armscor - basically a nicer RIA Tactical) for $299. Those too were sold out by the time I made it to the site, though in all fairness I didn't see the email till like 5 hours after it had been sent.

No. They were likely on sale because the .40S&W versions were collecting dust and no one wanted them.

Now in they had the 9mm versions on sale for that price, that would have been exciting.

They did have the 9MM P226 at that price until they sold out which did not take long.
