Of course, my unsympathetic self wants to comment to the OP, "Hey, you bought a $1,000 gun and now you're going to complain about $40 magazines?" Of course I'd never do that.

I know you are kidding, but the reason I can afford to buy guns at all is because I'm frugal in most other regards. It allows me to save money enough to buy what I really want, like the gun itself, or some other larger purchase. Now that I've got the gun, I need to be cost conscious again.

I never view having money as an excuse for letting go of it easily.

Regarding being frugal - I haven't bought a firearm since the late 1980's. I've bought a lot of ammo, lube, and magazines, since then though.

Kid #2 graduates from college in December. Neither kid has/will have any college debt. By the way, I retired in 2003. I'm familiar with frugal.

You are an inspiration sir. I beat myself up if I buy a $20 item I didn't "need".

I have a P220 chambered in 45acp. Trigger is a bit scratchy and rear sight needs to be adjusted but I still want the 10.

I thought I'd post this here real quick since I was just asking about magazines. I happen to stumble across a FB post from Sig last night. They are having a "Flash Sale" on magazines.

I just ordered 3 magazines. Sig's regular price is $44, which is about $4 higher than you can find them from other vendors. With the sale though, they are $35.20 a piece, which is about $5 cheaper than the aforementioned other vendors. The sale ends at midnight tonight. (5/26/2017).

Thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking. A lot of other mags were on sale also. This I'm going to have this thread shut down as I have another one going about actually shooting the gun.

I think that is the going price for them and wouldn't expect to see them for much less...supply/demand
