Sig Sauer P226

I would find another shop, one that had the correct sight pusher for a Sig. Using a vise and a brass punch is how "Goober" does it.
Yeah Goober didn't last long. His shop closed down. I went there because they claimed to be a Sig authorized armorer. Must not take much to be authorized. Judging from the amount of time he was around, I think my experience with him was typical.

I love my P226 X5 Competition, with its Robert Burke action job. Softest recoil of any 9mm pistol that I've shot.

I have a P6, a P228, an M11-A1 and a P226 in .40 S&W and these are all fantastic service pistols!

Despite all the praise for the old W. German guns, I prefer the new ones with SRT and E2 grips. Accurate and runs 100%.

IMHO the bore axis is too high for comfortable shooting and I don't like the DA/SA trigger system (on any pistol). Take a look instead at the Sig P320. My son owns one and it is a great shooter.
The 320 has effectively the same bore axis as the 226. Which is one of the common criticisms of the 320. Personally I find them both to be soft shooters. I too prefer the German stamped/welded slides but the recent ones are nice shooters also. My German P226 9mm is my favorite semi-auto pistol overall.
