Mods, delete or move as you see fit. But people need to know this.

Just picked up my new Sig P-365 XL today. Advertised to come with two 12rd magazines. Mine came with crippled 10 rd mags.

Not as advertised, 10+ mags not banned from importation until July 01. What makes this even worse are the pressed in dimples on the sides to limit it to 10 rounds. The spring hangs up on the intruding dimple causing multiple misfeeds and jams. These mags will get you killed.

Looks like Sig has joined other organizations intent on screwing over gun owners.

If I violated any terms here, I apologize. I am so annoyed by this corporate ripoff.

:fire::barf::fire:

If you're looking for a 365 or 365 XL. I'm dumping everything Sig. And I won't rip you off. Check classifieds soon.

Sig lost my respect when they started producing the “cheaper” Sigs. I fell in love with P220 when it was my duty weapon. Pure quality. Nothing wrong with polymer pistols, but Sig was known for quality

I think that is an issue with the seller rather than SIG. SIG makes them with 10rd mags and std depending on where they are going to. I would contact the seller to see why you did not get what you paid for.

That said, SIG has fallen down my list of makers also over the years. Pistols firing when dropped, ejecting live rounds (that one really impressed me), flame finishes on things, etc. They were once in my top 2 or 3 for semis but now I barely even look at their line.

Who did you obtain the gun from? Is it new? If Sig is at fault, it may have been a mistake, and a phone call may get you what it is that you want- and they may even let you keep the 10 round mags. You have almost 90 days to address this in order to get the other mags and be grandfathered in. Also, Sig has already made their $ on that gun- if you sell it to someone else or dump it in the Pacific, Sig won't lose a cent.

Sounds like a BUYER, seller problem. Sig makes several models. (as do others)It helps to know what model you are buying!

Oh look!, 10 rd mag or 12rd!

With out seeing which SKU he bought or the link where he bought it, Hard to determine who is at fault. If its sig's fault, they will ship new mags. Seller might not do much.

Sounds a lot like a politician created the problem you have to me.

Paying for what you received without any inspection allowed it to become your problem.

If you were sold something that is different than what you were given, you need to contact the seller. A manufacturer would be smart to change production to meet new laws ASAP as there is less chance they will have illegal contraband that can no longer be sold sitting in warehouses when the grace period ends. That’s what it’s there for, not so they can make as many as they can before the bell rings.

Sorry, that's primarily a Washington State problem, not a Sig Sauer problem. Sig has no control over when a product will be sold or delivered, so if there's a legal restriction that's coming into effect they have to conform their product production in advance so it can be sold without regard to date. The solution that Sig should offer now before the effective date is an exchange policy. Let us know how customer service treats you. That should be the real test.

Get some H&K mags, they're so good they'll even work with the bullets in backwards.

That poor SOB who did that add copy is going to be on his death bed muttering
“one time, I screwed up ONE time, never screw up, not even once, ONE TIME…..ONE TIME!”
Nurses and grandkids gathered round wondering what hidden demons poor grandpa was taking to his grave. :)

Yet you took it home?
Why?
Every online seller is darn good about telling the buyer to inspect the firearm and refuse the transfer if anything is wrong.

Not as advertised,
Advertised by whom?
SIG doesn't advertise that every SKU ships with two 12rounders.
Sounds like your complaint is with the seller, not SIG.

And you've joined those other organizations that blame gun manufacturers for crime, global warming, mopery and other high crimes and misdemeanors.

You've only violated common sense.

That there is called an effective response. It will hurt SIG for decades. My stock in Ruger just went up 1.14% today.

Probably will find there is a reason why, no one trying to cheat anybody. Sounds like a well placed punch could eliminate those dimples but that may make the mags illegal.

SIG has to comply with local restrictions, so they make multiple SKUs to get the right stuff to the specific place. If you ordered remotely, your issue is with the seller, as the pistol was not as advertised. If you bought over the counter, your dealer may have swapped out the mags. You may want to check with SIG to confirm that the SKU on the box is accurate for 10 round mags.

Sometimes dealers screw up their order, and if they are ethical they will note the issue and entertain a lower offer. SIG does have a MAP policy. Cool down, visit with dealer first, then SIG customer service. It is frustrating, but this particular issue may not be SIG's doing.

Erm, I have 5 p365XLs and none cane with 10 rd mags. Each has many extra 15 rounders I got from GunMagWarehouse.

Completely satisfied.

I agree with jmorris, if I were a vendor I would not send full capacity magazines into a forthcoming ban.

BUT operating failures with the reduced magazines is definitely a corporate matter; complain to the warranty clerk at Sig.

OP, based upon your upsetting post it doesn't sound like a SIG problem but rather your problem for not verifying the items before accepting the items and possibly the vendor for not fulfilling the correct order...or did they? Oh well, it sounds like you have options to correct the mistake whoever made it......

While many may have issues or disappointments with Sig Sauer, this was not their mistake or their problem. I understand your frustration and I wish you luck in resolving it, but it really wasn't fair to automatically blame Sig Sauer.

Did Sig hold a P365 w/ a 12 round magazine to your head and force you to fill out the 4473 and pay money to the shop to take this gun home without inspecting it (and the magazines)? (And I'll be the SKU label on the box even indicates its a 10 round model).

But instead, you blame Sig for your oafishness...then double-down by creating an internet spectacle over it.
