I ordered tech sights rear and a .047 straight target front post for my norinco sks.

I will not be using the sliding rear sights.

What distance should I sight the rifle in for?

Point of aim 100 yards and see how it does in 50 yard increments out to 300 yards?

With new sights I would start close 40yards or so. get it on paper then move out to 100.

Assuming a 123 gr. pointy bullet at ~2350 fps, it's a toss-up, either 150 or 200. Sighted in at 150, the bullet drops less than 4" @ 200 yds., while sighted at 200 the bullet rises a little under 3 1/2" at 125 yds. You can set it to impact about 1" high at 50 yds. and you should be at least on the paper at 100 yds.

Please post results with your Tech Sights because I'm probably going to order a set for the Chinese SKS I just bought.

Iv always use the point blank range of 20yds and 200yds. Seems to be the most useful range. Your tech sights will have a paper with it that shows the ranges.
