Just got back from the range. The first time I took my SKS out we didn't get to do a whole lot with it as far as sight setup. This time we had some dedicated sight time, and it wasn't good. The iron sights, at 25 yards, required you to aim the upper right outside edge of the 8 ring to hit the center. I know how to do a vertical adjustment on the sight, but not a lateral one as I don't see a screw. And having to aim 2 inches high and right at 25 yards seems almost excessivly off. At 100 yards, the 7.62 ballistically should be high by 3.5 inches. Is there a good way to start making adjustments at home? Or does this require a lot of range time to fix? Would I be better off sending it to a gunsmith to have it sighted? How much does this typically cost? I have a red dot for it, but I want to get the iron sights set decently first. Thanks in advance!
