I'm going to be hunting here with a slug gun for the first time. Unfortunately there are no ranges further than 25 yards for me to sight in the new slug gun setup! I'm going to be using a remington 1100 smoothbore IC choke with rifled slugs.

The range I'm going to is only 25 yards and I have no experience with the trajectory from a slug gun. What do most people sight them in at? I believe the average shot I may be taking will be ~50 yards. I'm going to try and get a few more types of slugs to experiment with(currently have 2 boxes of Winchester Super X).

Thanks for any advice.

I would love some numbers. E.G. Zero'd for 100 yards is "X" inches high at 25 yards, etc etc.

Awesome, those are exactly the numbers I was looking for. I'm going to go with about 1.25" high at 25 yards which will zero me at ~85ish yards(probably the max that I am likely to shoot where I am hunting).

Thank you for the numbers, VERY helpful!

Gotta find a mount for my sight on my shotgun now. I can't decide whether to use my el'cheapo bushnell scope that originally came on my rifle or pull the eotech off the AR-15 for a few weeks. Leaning towards pulling the eotech off right now.

The el cheapo scope may not hold a zero. That happened to me.
