Oh Yea!

...

Congrats HD,

As the short 9mm, P232 SL 380 is a GEM, and I took a pic of your gun and shots to show my wife, that is what she can do, up the road, with more practice with our P232 SL

Also, must say, it shoots quite nice one-handed as well.

I can see your first 2 shots, (pure guess.. lol) bottom left, "tightening of the fingers" and almost equal bottom right.. Tightening grip while squeezing the trigger, then you settle in with her.. nice!!

LS :)

Lonestar,

I have totally fallen in love with this gun. Like I said, I have never shot a gun so accurately right out of the box. My Beretta is deadly accurate now but it took me a bit of learning and trigger control. Of course the guys at the range said it was just that I am learning more and getting better at shooting, but I blame the gun! :p

Like your wife, I am trying to get my lady to fall in love with this gun too. So far she enjoys my Snubbie (S&W 642) better because the grip feels better to her. Bad thing for me is that the Snubbie is my carry pistol (light and does not pull my pants down when in the pocket). I want her to shoot as well as I do with the Sig so that she can carry it in her purse. Currently, it is just too heavy for me, and I love the confidence of having laser sights on the Snubbie. Of course if she does not get convinced, I will be searching for a nice holster that I can use for the new Sig.

About the grips

...

Check out the Sig sites P232 SL grips here:

http://www.sigarms.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=10&productid=69

These "polymer" full wrap-around fingered grips are from Sig and are like Hogue wrap-around fingered grips.

These help in both, a better, more natural, grip of the gun and, help in dispersing some of the recoil.

I highly recommend them.. as the little lady has no qualms about the grip of the gun, but needs about another 200 rounds to get the sights, trigger pulls, etc, down, solid/consistent.

^ Those wood grips are Nills.....yes, they are pricey, but are the best feeling woods grips you can get. And that price is actually pretty good for them.

Happy Fathers Day

to all of the dads on this thread :)

winzton-
Welcome to the club and to THR. Thanks for making your first post here at the Sig Club :D and the pics of your P239.

timmy21-
Welcome to you too. Lets us know how that P226 shoots for you. I'm sure you'll become a Sigaholic like the rest of us

HD-
Nice gun and nice shooting. I thought I saw you over at the 642 Club. I also have the CTs on my 642 and carry it almost always. Sounds like you might have to buy another one :scrutiny:

AK-
I didn't talk to Dennis Todd, but I did drool a bit. I'm glad that I didn't see the P225s. I've been looking for one myself, but I wanted to get a new HD shotty or and AR first. My short list had a new HD shotty on it an a RRA CAR-15. Now that I got the Mossberg, I'll work on the AR next.
Too bad I didn't know you were going, we could have met up. Maybe next time.

P220ST is still sitting a the range waiting for me to take it home :uhoh:. I see alot of them popping up in the classified section on the Sig Forum. I wonder if its because of the price of .45 going up. I don't see many P226ST and P229STs for sale. I wish I had the money to buy one or two. I've never shot one, but they're probably really great shooters with the added weight.

Guess I qualify for membership, I went down to my local purveyor of fine firearms and heard a lightly used P220 whispering to me. Darn NICS put a 'delay' on the transaction, so I have to pick it up next week. The pistol comes with the complete kit (2 8-round mags, case, owners manual). Now I need to get the rest of the goodies (.45 ACP AZoom caps, boresnake, a supply of ammunition and about four more mags).

Welcome Cliff and Classified! You guys are in.
The P220 is a great first Sig and start to your collection.

There's something about Nills on a Sig that looks so perfect - real classy :D

Cliff - hopefully your wait wont be too long - Post a picture when you get a chance.

They are great shooters. My local Weapons Warehouse still has a few here in CA. I keep telling my buddy to get one before they are gone, but he keeps putting it off. I LOVE my ST's

The biggest problem with Sigs is that it's really hard to own just one.

Well, I humbly submit my membership application to the Sig Club.

Once upon a time, I had a Sig P230 stainless. I loved it so. But...the evil demons in my head began thinking about trading it for another, more sinister polymer weapon. Needless to say, the devil on the left shoulder KO'd the angel on the right shoulder, and the 230 departed.

Years later, I stumble upon a good deal on a Sig Pro 2022. Being a polymer freak, I snatched it up. But alas, after many trips to the range, my hands simply could not adjust to the grip of the 2022. So...it also departed my possession shortly thereafter.

But deep in my heart, I yearned for another 230. I had a hole in my soul and a 230 was the perfect plug.

Then, on one beautiful early summer day, I stumbled upon the following 232 for sale by fellow THR member Frandy:

This beautiful Sig Sauer is now mine, but the photo still belongs to Frandy.

So, thanks to Frandy, I snapped it up.

And on the morning after I received it, I awoke to birds chirping and deer playing in the front yard.

As I once again proud owner of a Sig, I humbly submit my application. :D:p

Sorry the pics aren't better, but I did this just as I was opening the box for the first time.

I plan on doing a run of much nicer, staged photos of my collection soon.

I want to send my other ST in to get it Two toned so I have opposing Sig P226 ST TTs

Scorp - Thats a fine piece of art right there!! Thanks for posting that picture.

tydephan - I'm glad Frandys 232 went to a good and loving home. I think Frandy posted that picture somewhere in the begining of this thread. Take good care of her, and don't let the devil get the best of you again

I and many others in this club know what you mean. I'm at 8 Sigs and looking to add some more. :D

It will definitely have a good home. It will be here for when my 6-week old son is old enough to own a gun.

Well, if there is one thing that the loss of the original 230 taught me, it is to never trade a gun that you like, as you will always want another one.

But...right now...this dang devil keeps whispering in my ear about a nice P220 Elite. The angel is putting up a good fight, but it's going into the 12th round right now and the score cards are tied. :D

Scorpiusdeus:Who did the two tone finish,or was yours a gun of the month??
That looks great and I have been considering doing that to my 220ST

Sig P220 Compact review

The August/September Handguns magazine has a good article on the P220 Compact. The gun they tested had a DA trigger pull of between 13.5 and 14.2 pounds :scrutiny: I thought that sounded a bit high, but I've never personally shot one. The gun ate everything that was loaded in it without any problems and shot sub 2.5 inch groups at 25 yards.
Frank James gave the gun an excellent review, but all of the Sigaholics on this thread could have told him that :D

Ooh, ooh, sign me up!
