How many Sigs are you up to now? I haven't been on here in a while, I have been very busy. I haven't bought a Sig in quite a while, and it might be some time before I get another one.

I have been having problems with my daily driver cars for a while now. All of them are 150k - 200k mile cars. I drive 100 miles a day round trip to work and I decided I needed something more reliable to drive.

Sigs are on hold for a while due to the new car.

2009 Mustang GT.

I figured if I was going to get a new car I might as well get what I wanted.

MustangHowie-

Welcome back - I was wondering what happend to you.
That is a sweet Stang  (I like the one in the background also). I'm glad you got what you wanted - good luck with her!

I'm up to 21 Sigs now. 6 - P220s, 4 - P226s, 4 - P239s, 2 - P229s, 2 - P228's, 2 - P225s, and a Trailside.
I don't have a family shot with the new additions. I'll have to take one as I'm not really looking to add any, unless its a nickel W.German or something I can't pass up ;)

I am thinking your 21 Sig photo should be on a poker table, with chips and cards. Your hand being the ace of spades and the jack of spades.

Blackjack 21. lol.

I've only got one classic car - a 1972 Buick GS 455. I've owned it since 1985.

I bought it from the original owner when my wife was pregnant with my first son. I restored it myself with the help of the guys that I worked with at a Buick dealership at the time.

That is a good looking Buick. Drive it much?

I am almost done with my '73 Fastback, it just needs paint and a few little details.

One of the Mach Is is in the body shop now getting the floor fixed. Engine is built. I just need to get it back home to start on it.

I don't know which hobby is more expensive cars or guns?

...

Those cars are as nice as Sigs.. (unique)

Here's my little P229 G-35 coupe parked in our garage.. lol

I liken it to a go-cart.. :)

The only restoration going on.. is to the driver.. :D

Nice ride - AND garage :what: !!! How many car garage is it??
Those look like some heavy duty cabinets :scrutiny:. Are they full of ammo?? :D

I love your target hanging on the door :p

Thanks.
I don't drive it as much as I should. I wish I had more time (and a garage like Lonestar). My garage is small and it's a big pain in the ass to move stuff around to pull my car out (I know, it sounds like a bad excuse)
The last time I took it to a show, the heater core went on the ride home. I by-passed it for now, but I want to replace it before I drive it regularly again.
I'm hoping I'll have more time to mess around with my Buick since I'm not reffing a whole lot of soccer games anymore.
We'll see.

Good eyes..

1Blindref,

It's a 2 car garage and you're right about, "one" of, the cabinets..

All the others are from Lowe's and are kit, put them together, cabinets (with many options) but the "one". I found it on the street being thrown away and I grabbed it (all metal) degreased some 40yrs of grease, off it, and then repainted it to match (as was the demand of my wife..lol) and loaded it up, as you surmised..

WOW.
Now my man cave seems a little...shabby.
'course considering what I had to start with I'm not too depressed.
...

Thanks for the vote of confidence, as the house was built in 58, and we moved in in 1989, and "acquired much STUFF"..

It was, dirty, dusty, crowded, just a mess which we had to move out, separate, and throw away anything that had not been used in the last 1-2 years.. Hard (mentally) at first.. lol, but great when it was done and the project, finally, some 18yrs later, my "one" mans room, became a reality..

But, no matter ones size, or condition, of his cave, IF it works, then it does what any cave is meant for its cave-man.. ;)

And in time, no matter, change occurs..

Here's my contribution to the mix, 9mm P239. I just picked it up this afternoon, and will be taking it with me to my CCW class this sat am.

I had been looking for a compact or subc, so a coworker recommended I stop by a pawn shop he has had a lot of success with in past years, to see what they had. So I stopped by, but I didnt see what I was looking for in any of the cases. The person asked me what I was looking for so I rattled off a number of models, and he told me to wait a sec and he'd be right back. He came back with this brand new Sig, the gun was still wrapped in plastic inside the box, and it had been sitting in their safe for 10 yrs, so he sold it to me for the '98 price of $599! I thought this was a great price for great gun that was brand new. I could probably shop around and possibly find a better deal, but I didnt feel like it and thought this was a deal worth taking, so she came home with me. Now to break her in .....

1BLINDREF, nice Hemi-killer. I guess we share two interests together, Sigs and Buicks. Here's my 87' Grand National.

Also, here's my new Sig 220ST with external extractor that arrived today. How appropriate on this day to receive a good ol' American .45 ACP pistol. I have the 10 day waiting period to get through though.

Also trying to save up for a new Camaro, but these Sigs calling my name aren't helping!

You get that pistol from CDNN Subsolar?

I called them up about information about those used 220STs this afternoon, they are most tempting for the price.

Nope, got it from Clubster @ sigforum.com. Pretty good deal, brand new 220ST with night sites for $835 delivered. I purchased a 226ST .40 S&W with night sites for the same price too a few months ago.

SubSolar-
Nice GN  and P220ST :D

I worked at a buick dealer when they and the T-Types first came out. They were the fastest production car out in 1987 (but you probably already knew that)

Have you ever gone to the GS/GN nationals in Bowling Green, Ky??
I went back in 1988. It was about 900 miles one way from my house in Pa. I followed two guys with GNs from our local Club.
I remember stopping 3 times to their 1 at the gas stations ..... lol. The one GN I followed was running mid 10s right off of the street (with a set of slicks) :what:
It was fun cruising around town (Bowling Green) and seeing a TON of beautiful GS' and GNs everywhere you went. Didn't see many Vettes that weekend :scrutiny:
I've got a ton of pics (not digital :( ) .

Your P220ST is a great gun. You shouldn't have any problems with the external extractor. It's one of my favorite Sigs.
I bought my P226ST 9mm from Clubster (Mike) on the Sig Forum. He gets a lot of STs and is great to deal with. I think his prices are very fair.
[email protected]

Good luck with both of your gems!

Have you ever gone to the GS/GN nationals in Bowling Green, Ky??

Never been, although I did visit the Vette plant there years ago. I read about that event in the GS/GN newsletter.

gregj-
Welcome to THR and the Club!
Thats a great find, a NIB P239 9mm thats 10 years old. You paid a good price for it considering its new. The P239s are very accurate for their size.
Go break that baby in and give us a range report.
Good luck with her :)

Check on sigforum.com, a lot of people have been having issues with 220's made in the last few years. Many more problems with 220's, 220 Carry's and 220ST's than all the other Sig models. People were having problems with the last round of a magazine. Worsening the issue, many people said that even after a trip or two back to Sig, they would still have issues. Having said that, I'm sure most of them ran fine. It did cause me to get a 226 earlier this year instead of a 220, however. And Sig has recently changed all the 220's to have a 226 style external extractor, so that must tell you something. I now have a new 220ST with external extractor on the way, I'll tell you guys how it does at the range.

Good info to know, I really want a combat, but will probably end up with a standard P220R.
