I like 9mm and .357mag. Probably my favorites to shoot would be a beretta 92 and a S&W model 65.

I voted "revolvers only" because I only own a couple of pistols - both revolvers. That will change as I intend to purchase at least one semi-auto within the next few months.

The question is really not that simple. It depends on the purpose. For carry/self defense against two-legged predators I like autos, as they hold more ammo, reload faster, are more comfortable to carry and I shoot better with them. If I wished to hunt game animals with a handgun it would be a heavy caliber revolver, most likely in .44 Magnum. There are not too many autos in this caliber.

Noting wrong with autos. Not sure why i prefer wheel guns, though. Being a handloader the possible variations seem unlimited in revolvers.
One of these days I am going to add a 1911 to my revolver only collection...

Just to add a reply to my vote, I chose semi auto only because I am a semi auto person as what was asked. Revolvers have their place, but their not in my life at the moment, but I'm sure that will change.

DA, SA revolvers, SA, DA auto pistols, I own& shoot them all, but with a large preference for DA revolvers (70 % DA revolvers, 30 % all others combined)

All of you folk's that have voted "semi-auto ONLY", don't know what
you are missing out on ;); as revolver's are loads of fun too shoot
besides being highly reliable under stressful conditions~! :D

For me, I own about half N' half; but I enjoy not having too chase
brass all over the shooting range.

I started with a revolver as my first handgun 20 years ago.

I traded it because I convinced myself it was inadequate.
Went through two semi-autos before coming back to revolvers.

I prefer the simplicity of revolvers,
both in operation and cleaning.

I now own two: SW 642 and SW 65.

Yeah, I prefer a minimalist tool kit.

It's interesting being in a minority.
Not the first time; won't be the last.

I like both but my wish list for semi autos is FAR shorter than my revolver list.

Semi:

1911
Berreta 92fs
Highpower
HK P7

I want way to many revolvers to list.

Autos can be just as or more reliable and provide quicker follow up shots, which is vital.

With practice, you can shoot a revolver faster than a semiautomatic will cycle. Ed McGivern and Jerry Miculek are two examples. I'm not in their class, of course, but I don't think a center hit with a 125 grain JHP .357 Magnum necessarily needs a follow-up.

I do have a semiauto, a KelTec P32, for when I can't carry a gun.

Hey C-Grunt! Your signoff is:

2006 Subaru WRX
2.5 liter h4 turbo
about 230 awhp and 300 awtq.
Still get 25 mpg.

My 2004 2.5 liter h4 turbo Subaru Forester with about 205 awhp and who knows how many awtq gives me 20 mpg -- when I start it rolling with my foot out the door. How do ya do that? I'm not accusing you of anything, but you're a 'Zonie', so I have my suspicions.

1. It might be healthier focusing what you or I can do rather than what Ed McGivern and Jerry Miculek can do.

2. If OO buck shot sometimes requires a follow-up shot, I would not be so confident in 125 gr JHP not requiring a follow-up shot.

I have both. But revolvers are used a lot more than the semi autos are.Nothing feels as good or as accurate to me as a good N frame revolver.
